갤러리바다는 ‘바다, 숲, 꽃 그리고 사람’을 주제로 한 개소 기획전으로 문을 엽니다.

이번 전시는 장애라는 전제를 넘어, 작품 그 자체의 감동과 아름다움을 통해 예술의 본질을 마주하는 여정입니다.

핀휠과 인권과문화예술 사회적협동조합이 공동 주최하며, 조합 소속 전업 예술인 34명이 참여하였습니다.
각 작가는 자연과 인간이라는 큰 흐름 속에서 자신만의 언어로 주제를 풀어내며, 바다의 깊이, 숲의 숨결, 꽃의 생명력, 그리고 사람의 온기를 화면에 담아냅니다.

갤러리바다는 단순한 전시장이 아닙니다.
장애예술인이 예술가로서 존중받으며, 정식 근로자로서 창작 활동을 지속할 수 있는 일터이자, 기업과 예술, 노동과 창작이 만나는 새로운 실험의 공간입니다.

과천 지식정보타운 중심부에 자리한 이 공간에서 한국 장애포용예술의 첫 물결이 시작됩니다.
편견을 넘어 예술로 연결되는 이 변화의 현장에 여러분을 초대합니다.

Message from the Chairperson

갤러리바다는 단순한 전시 공간을 넘어, 장애예술인이 예술가로서 존중받고 창작 활동을 지속할 수 있도록 마련된 상설 전시장입니다.

인권과문화예술 사회적협동조합은 그동안 다양한 예술 활동을 통해 장애 당사자의 목소리가 사회에 전달될 수 있도록 꾸준히 노력해왔습니다.

갤러리바다는 이러한 실천의 연장선상에서, 더 많은 장애예술인이 예술을 통해 사회와 연결되고, 일상 속에서 예술이 스며들 수 있도록 돕는 소중한 시작점이 될 것입니다.

이 공간이 단지 작품을 감상하는 장소를 넘어, 관람객과 예술가가 서로의 감각과 생각을 나누고 이해할 수 있는 열린 예술 생태계로 성장하길 바랍니다.

갤러리바다가 앞으로도 다양성과 포용의 가치를 중심으로 더 많은 분들과 함께 호흡할 수 있기를 기대하며, 운영에 함께해주신 모든 분들께 깊이 감사드립니다.

Opening Exhibition
Sea, Forest, Flower, and People

Gallery BADA opens with its inaugural exhibition, themed “Sea, Forest, Flower, and People.”
This exhibition invites viewers on a journey beyond the notion of disability—into the essence of art itself, where emotion and beauty stand at the forefront.
Co-hosted by Pinwheels and the Human Rights & Culture Arts Cooperative, the exhibition features 34 full-time artists affiliated with the cooperative.
Each artist explores the overarching themes of nature and humanity through their own distinct visual language, capturing the depth of the sea, the breath of the forest, the vitality of flowers, and the warmth of people on canvas.
Gallery BADA is more than just a space for exhibitions.
It is a workplace where artists with disabilities are respected as professionals and supported in their creative careers,
and a platform where companies, labor, and the arts intersect in bold and meaningful ways.
Located in the heart of Gwacheon’s Knowledge Information Town, this space marks the beginning of
the first wave of disability-inclusive Korean art.
We invite you to be part of this moment—where assumptions are left behind, and art becomes the bridge that connects us all.

Message from the Chairperson

Gallery BADA is not just an exhibition venue;
it is a permanent space where artists with disabilities are respected as professionals
and supported in sustaining their creative practices.
The Human Rights & Culture Arts Cooperative has long worked to bring the voices of people with disabilities into the public through various artistic activities.
Gallery BADA continues this mission—serving as a vital starting point where more artists with disabilities can engage with society through their art,
and where art becomes part of our everyday lives.
We hope this space grows into an open artistic ecosystem,
where artists and audiences exchange their senses, thoughts, and perspectives freely.
As Gallery BADA continues to uphold the values of diversity and inclusion,
we look forward to collaborating with many more partners along the way.
