Jo Moonho 조문호 : The World of Silent Silence

From November 1 to 13, 2018, Jo Moonho held his solo exhibition “The World of Silent Silence” at Gallery Hwal, located within the Seocho Hanwoori Information Culture Center.

As a deaf artist, Jo captures the emotion of silence through softly rendered landscapes. His work has been featured in exhibitions such as the PyeongChang Winter Olympics Global Art Festival and the Gwangju Biennale. In this exhibition, Jo’s gentle interpretations of nature—through sea, forests, and seasonal scenery—invited viewers to experience a tranquil and healing space.

2018년 11월 1일부터 13일까지, 서초구립 한우리정보문화센터 갤러리 활에서 조문호 작가의 개인전 ‘소리 없는 침묵의 세계’가 열렸다.조문호 작가는 대한민국장애인미술대전 우수상을 수상하며 이름을 알렸고, 이후 평창 동계올림픽 기념 미술전, 광주비엔날레, 한국미술협회전 등 다양한 전시에 참여해왔다.

그의 작품은 숲, 바다, 계절 풍경 등 자연의 요소를 따뜻하고 부드러운 색감으로 그려내며, 침묵 속의 감정을 잔잔하게 전한다. 이번 전시에서는 작가 특유의 색감으로 표현된 자연풍경들을 통해, 고요한 위로와 감상의 시간을 선사했다.
