Park Inhee is a veteran Korean artist who has spent over 43 years crafting a distinct artistic language, blending the traditional aesthetics of Korean painting with modern sensibilities. A protégé of the renowned painter Heo Geon (pen name Namnong), Park laid her foundations in minhwa and later expanded her practice to include watercolor, Western techniques, and eventually, ceramic art—painting directly onto porcelain surfaces.
Her ceramic paintings, which endure firing at temperatures exceeding 1,200°C, retain their clarity and delicacy, showcasing Park’s meticulous sensibility and spirit of experimentation. For over two decades, she has also developed a unique hybrid approach—incorporating bunchae (powder pigments) and mixed media to preserve the brilliance of colored Korean painting while overcoming its traditional limitations.

Park has been widely recognized for her artistry, earning numerous awards from prestigious national competitions such as the Korea Fine Arts Grand Exhibition and the Jeonnam Provincial Art Exhibition. She is also the recipient of the Mokpo Fine Arts Award and the Korea Arts & Culture Association Award, marking her longstanding contributions to the regional arts community.
In 2024, she continues to engage in international exhibitions and creative art fairs, pursuing new materials and expressive forms with undiminished energy. Her work remains a pioneering example of what is now celebrated as modern chaesaekhwa—the contemporary reimagining of colored Korean painting.
43년간의 작가 생활을 이어온 박인희 화가는 한국화의 전통성과 현대성을 결합하며 자신만의 독자적인 예술 세계를 구축해온 중견 작가다.그는 일찍이 남농 허건 선생 문하에서 한국화의 기초를 닦았으며, 이후 수채화, 서양화의 기법을 접목하고, 더 나아가 도자 위에 그림을 그리는 세라믹아트라는 영역으로 확장했다.
1200도가 넘는 고온의 열 속에서도 흔들림 없이 구현된 색과 형태는 박 화가 특유의 세심한 감각과 실험정신을 보여준다.그는 채색한국화의 장점을 살리면서도 한계는 보완하고자 혼합재료와 분채를 활용한 작업을 20여 년 전부터 꾸준히 이어오고 있으며,이러한 시도는 오늘날 더욱 주목받는 ‘현대 채색화’ 흐름의 선구적인 사례로 평가된다.

박 화가는 대한민국미술대전, 전남도미술대전 등 주요 공모전에서 다수 수상하며 실력을 인정받았고,목포미술인상과 한국예총 예술부문 상을 수상하며 지역 예술계에도 꾸준한 기여를 이어가고 있다.2024년에도 다수의 국제 교류전과 창작 아트페어 참여를 앞두고 있으며, 여전히 새로운 재료와 표현 방식에 대한 실험을 멈추지 않고 있다.
