Jo-Moonho

Jo Moonho is a Korean artist whose serene and colorful landscapes emerge from a world without sound. Living with a hearing disability, Jo embraces the stillness of silence and channels it into compositions that highlight the warmth and beauty of nature.

He began gaining national recognition after receiving an Excellence Award at the Korea Disabled Art Exhibition and has since participated in major exhibitions such as the PyeongChang Winter Olympics Global Art Festival, the Gwangju Biennale, and the Korea Fine Arts Association Exhibition.

His paintings often feature forests, seas, and seasonal scenery, rendered with gentle colors and a quiet emotional tone. His solo exhibition “The World of Silent Silence” held in 2018 at the Gallery Hwal in the Hanwoori Information Culture Center, showcased nature’s presence through soft, expressive palettes.

2018년 서초구립 한우리정보문화센터 갤러리 활에서 열린 개인전 *‘소리 없는 침묵의 세계’*에서는 숲, 바다, 계절의 정취를 담은 작품들이 전시되며 관람객에게 조용한 울림을 전했습니다.

그는 대한민국장애인미술대전 우수상을 비롯해 평창 동계올림픽 성공 기원 미술 축제, 광주비엔날레, 한국미술협회전 등 국내외 다양한 미술전에 참여해왔으며, 현재도 꾸준히 자연을 테마로 한 작업을 이어가고 있습니다.
