Park-Dayoung

Park Dayoung is a Korean painter whose work merges faith, hope, and silence into imagery that evokes Eden-like peace and spiritual renewal. Living with hearing loss, she expresses a world where the deaf can hear clearly, speak freely, and travel joyfully with others—often depicted through dreamlike imagery such as whales under the sea or journeys toward light.

A member of multiple artist groups including the Korean Association of Deaf Artists, Park has received both a Special Selection and Honorable Mention at the Korea Disabled Art Exhibition (2019, 2023), and was a finalist in the 2020 JW Art Awards. Her work is spiritually grounded and deeply narrative, often inspired by biblical motifs.

박다영 작가는 청각장애를 지닌 서양화가로, 성경의 상상과 신앙적 메시지를 바탕으로 한 서사적인 그림을 선보이고 있습니다. 그녀는 "에덴동산처럼 이 땅에서 소리가 열리고 사랑하는 사람들과 바다를 보며 함께 살고 싶다"는 바람을 담아, 들리지 않는 고래와의 대화를 주제로 회화 작업을 이어가고 있습니다.

2023년과 2019년 대한민국장애인미술대전에서 각각 특선과 입선을 수상하였고, 2020년 JW어워드에서도 입선하였으며, 최근에는 인권과문화예술 사회적협동조합의 전시를 비롯해 다수의 그룹전에 참여하고 있습니다.

현재 한국장애인미술협회, 한국청각장애인미술협회, 소울음, 인권과문화예술 사회적협동조합 소속 작가로 활동 중입니다.
